In addition to the multi-vitamin/multi-mineral, add 2,000 IU of vitamin D in the form of vitamin D3 supplement capsule(s). Multi-vitamin capsules typically only contain about 400 IU of vitamin D, far below the 2,000 IU recommended. This is actually not a “vitamin” but a hormone, and one of the most important in the human body. Vitamin D is a “chemical key” that unlocks hundreds of genes that control day-to-day body functions in the body’s brain, heart, immune cells, bones, skin, nerves, blood vessels, etc.
Any quality Vitamin D3 supplement capsules will do. These typically have about 1,000 IU per capsule, so 2 a day will provide the Supplement Regime recommended amount unless you can find a 2,000 IU gel.
I recommend NOW Supplements, Vitamin D3 2000 IU Softgels – 1 daily.
Add a 1,500 mg Glucosamine / 1,000 mg MSM supplement. MSM alone can repair many joint issues. A daily dose ensures that your body has what it needs to maintain joint health.
I recommend Now Foods, Vegitarian Glucosamine & MSM - 1 Capsule daily, but any quality MSM supplement will do. If joint pain is an issue currently, I find that mega-dosing 2-4 MSM supplement capsules for the first 3 to 5 days usually brings the body’s system into line and begins affecting the pain.
Add 1000mg EPA / 500mg DHA in the form of omega-3 fish oil capsules. Specifically, “Molecularly Distilled – Enteric Coated” EPA/DHA. This supports brain health and can help with depression within the mind and inflammation within the body.
I recommend Now Foods, Ultra Omega-3, 500 EPA / 250 DHA – 2 Softgels daily.
